Description
An installation I did during November 2011.
Materials: self-made wooden box, red spray paint, oil paint, a candle, a lighter and a book of matches.
This was placed above a "Fire Safety Box" in one of my school hallways. It is a tongue-in-cheek way of prompting someone to create a fire while having the means to extinguish it.
It was fun to see people try to interact with it and figure out what it was. It was placed quite high up, so many people had to jump to be able to see inside it. It was a play on making it difficult to start a fire, but easy to put it out with the convenience of the extinguisher being at body level right underneath it.
